Good Samaritan Home Care’s Mommy and Me Specialty Care Program is designed to wrap mothers in the support, understanding, and practical help they deserve. Whether welcoming a first baby or navigating motherhood again, we recognize that postpartum challenges can appear suddenly and feel overwhelming. Our mission is to identify postpartum symptoms early, offer meaningful resources, and work closely with physicians to ensure every mother receives the care she needs.

We also proudly support mothers caring for children with disabilities by providing in‑home assistance, daily living support, and compassionate guidance. (Prior authorization required.)

Mommy and Me Specialty Care Program

Compassionate Support for Mothers and Their Little Ones

Short‑Term Care Level (8‑Week Program)

This 8‑week program provides new and recurring moms with in‑home aide services tailored to their emotional, physical, and household needs. After 8 weeks, we reassess to determine whether continued support would be beneficial.

Our aides help with:

  • Baby care and daily routines
  • Light household support
  • Errands and appointment accompaniment
  • Emotional support during postpartum depression, stress, or feelings of overwhelm

Moms may also choose to bring their own aide, provided the aide does not live in the same household.

These services are also available to mothers with children (newborn–12 years old) who have disabilities and require additional daily support.

Long‑Term Care Level

For mothers bringing home a baby with a medical condition, our long‑term care option provides ongoing support without the 8‑week intervals. This care continues for as long as mom wishes to participate.

We understand that caring for a medically complex child can be exhausting and emotionally demanding. Our team offers trained professionals—Certified Nurse Assistants or Registered Nurses, depending on the child’s needs—to ensure mom never feels alone in the process.

Moms may also hire their own aide if the aide has been properly trained by mom or a medical professional and a letter verifying this training is provided.
